Frequently Asked Questions

Question:
Who is eligible to purchase Angel Food?

Answer:

Anyone and everyone can purchase as many boxes and specials as they want.  There are no income qualifications to meet and no applications to complete.

Question:
Where does the food come from?
Answer:
Our food is "restaurant grade" meats, frozen vegetables, fruits, dairy products, etc. which we acquire through our involvement with only the best producers/vendors of high quality, "name brand" foods.  Never "seconds" or "day old" type products are involved.

Question:

How do I pay for the food?

Answer:

You can pay with Cash, Food Stamp card, or Money Order (no checks).  Payment must be made when the food is ordered.

Question:

How do I order my food?

Answer:

You can order at Prater Creek Baptist Church on the designated order date from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.  For designated order date, click 'AF Menu' button at the top of this page.

A printable map and driving directions to the church is available by clicking on the "Print Map" button at the top.

Question:

Can I place my order by phone, e-mail, or US Mail?
Answer:
Yes.  You can order either way; but a money order (no checks) for the correct amount must be mailed to Hands of Hope/Angel Food in time to submit your payment with your order by the cut off day.

Question:

When and where do I get my food?

Answer:

The food is distributed at designated times, usually on the last Saturday of each month (except in November and December … the dates are changed to accommodate the holidays), at Prater Creek Baptist Church in Banner, KY.

Please bring a box, basket, or cooler to pick up your food.

A printable map and driving directions to the church is available by clicking on the "Print Map" button at the top.

Question:

What happens if I don’t show up to pick up my food?

Answer:

Any food that is not picked up by the end of the distribution time will be given to a needy family. We do not have storage capacity to keep your food for you.  No refunds will be given!  If you can’t come and get the food at the designated time, please do not order.
